Did you know that spicy food actually does speed up metabolism, increase feeling of fullness and decrease appetite?

Capsaicin is the active component in hot peppers and chilli. This has many positive effects like increased fat burning, a shift in substrate oxidation from carbohydrates to fat oxidation, and thermogenic effect.

Although there is no evidence to support this claim, a lot of people swear by it. and its not harmful to try it out.  I  actually get fuller faster when eating peppery food. Plus i get to drink more water which gets me even fuller thus reducing my food portion and effecting positively on my weight. 🙂
